"Dealt with you for many years. Over all the years I only asked twice for a donation to support our local sports teams. You did one year but 2 years later I got the run around.. therefore I decided to take my business elsewhere. I do realize times are hard and you can't accommodate everyone but I think you could help out your good costumers. Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this business to a friend."

We do have many good customers and we try to rotate helping the many local charities, schools, university, churches, and organizations that are requested by our customers and local organizations. We wish we could donate to every request, every time, but honestly we cannot. However, we are very proud of the numerous times that we support our community, unfortunately, you may be unaware of all of our donations, since we try not to toot our own horn publicly.

"against recommendations from friends, i took my car to brown's for inspection. they failed my car. i took it elsewhere and had the faults double-checked. my car passed. brown's has a bad reputation around shepherdstown for being scammers. and my car wasn't a junker, either-- it was a decent, late 90s camry.
 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this business to a friend."

Response from Brown's Tire, Towing & Auto Care Center: Alisha, We are sorry that we failed your '99 Toyota Camry inspection due to the rear tires in January. We follow strict guidelines as a WV State Inspection Station and we do our best to uphold those guidelines. If a mistake was made we do apologize, however, we do not Know if that was a technician error or a borderline call. We would much rather you be safe, than to let an item slide. Customers have the choice to have repairs completed with us or any other repair facility when a vehicle is rejected and we suggest a second opinion when an item is in question. Again, we are sorry you were unhappy with your experience at Brown's Tire, however, we don't know how we could stay in business for 25 years if we were scamming everyone around Shepherdstown. We take pride in serving our customers and our community and we feel we do our best to uphold the guidelines that are expected. We do appreciate your comments, since it will help us to review our process in servicing our customers.
